Training on a punching bag requires much more from your gloves than sparring with an opponent.This is one of the reasons why these gloves are differently shaped from ?regular? boxing gloves.
The padding is also significantly different from the padding of sparring gloves. It is firmer in order to protect the hand against the punching bag, whereas the softer padding of sparring gloves will protect the opponents face.
